As age takes its toll on our bodies, we lose muscle tone from our face. This, along with a loss of skin elasticity, makes up the most noticeable effects of aging. The Diamond Medilift, produced by Diamond Incorporated, treats both symptoms with a safe electrical current. The Medilift is a 4-in-1 machine with selectable currents for muscle toning, skin tightening, body contouring, and deep cleansing. It has been featured on network television shows, including the Dr. Phil show, and Extra.

What is the Diamond Medilift?

The Diamond Medilift is a non-invasive, non-surgical cosmetic treatment providing some of the benefits of a traditional face lift. Based on research by bio-physicist Dr. Vladimir Ivancevic, this breakthrough technology uses electrical muscle stimulation to put your face through an intense "workout."

How does it work?

The Diamond Medilift relies on electrical stimulation to strengthen and tone muscles in the face and neck. Specialized handpieces deliver a safe electric current to select areas of the body. This current comes in 4 waveforms, each with its own cosmetic function:

  1. A body contouring wave for mobilizing fat cells.
  2. A macro-current for toning and defining muscle.
  3. A micro-current for lifting and tightening skin.
  4. A galvanic wave for performing desincrustation (deep cleansing) or assisting in product penetration.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment can take anywhere between 20 to 90 minutes depending on the mode used and the size of the areas being treated.

For optimal results, the makers of Diamond Medilift recommend a series of 12 to 24 treatments, with sessions scheduled 2 to 3 times per week. Patients will observe noticeable improvements to their skin and muscle tone after just one session, but these effects are temporary. After the fourth or fifth treatment, most patients experience permanent results.

Safety & Contraindications

The Diamond Medilift is safe to use on any part of the body with loose skin, unsightly fat, or untoned muscle. Before treating a patient, be sure to establish whether they have any condition considered contra-indicative to treatment.

Patients should not receive treatment with the Diamond Medilift if they:

  • have a pacemaker or similar device.
  • have been diagnosed with epilepsy or melanoma.
  • have metal plates or pins implanted in their body near the point of treatment.

Proceed with caution if a patient:

  • is pregnant.
  • has been diagnosed with diabetes or acne rosacea.
  • gets light sensitive migraines.
  • has hyper-sensitive skin.

Medilift treatments should only be performed by a trained, qualified operator.
